MATTHEW CHANG – PRINCIPAL OF CHANG ROBOTICS

Matthew Chang, PE is a Georgia Tech engineer with a career in advanced manufacturing and engineering licenses in USA and China. Matthew founded the engineering company, Chang Industrial, in 2017 with a focus on helping companies solve their workforce issues with advanced technology.
Chang Industrial has become known as one of the best firms globally for autonomous robotics and cobotics, which is highlighted in his 2023 TEDx Jacksonville Talk: In the future your coworker will be a robot.
Matthew is a Christian and Chang Industrial is a Christian organization founded on biblical principles. Matthew lives in Jacksonville Beach with his wife Jamie and three pre-school-aged children. Jamie is a physician’s assistant at St Vincent Southside Emergency Department. Matthew serves on the board of Lifework Leadership and Jacksonville University, and as Chairman of the Board of an electric vehicle start-up Kodiak Technologies.
In dedication to community service, Matthew founded the Jacksonville Venture Competition in 2023 to catalyze a start-up ecosystem in Jacksonville. In 2024, Matthew is leading the organization of Jacksonville’s innovation hub, led by FSU, JU, UNF, FSCJ, and many great local companies and civic organizations.
